Secondary Enrichment Programme
This explores other disciplines not covered by the curriculum, such as:
- Ancient Civilizations, Antarctica, NASA space exploration, World Religions, etc.
- A Shakespeare production in our theatre every year by each class.
- A termly Theme Day, where we explore a single theme such as Power, Migration or Justice through the prism of various subject areas.
- A half-termly trip to explore the local area: coastline, Roman and prehistoric sites, local festivals, art and music venues in the city.
- Book Club, where every pupil reads a novel with their classmates, on an ongoing basis. Pupils discuss the novel together in a weekly session.
- Model United Nations (MUN): all pupils aged 13-15 spend one term preparing to participate in a mock United Nations conference. Attendance in Madrid for this 3-day session is then optional but extremely rewarding.
- Science Week, our annual week of visiting speakers, workshops and pupil-led Science Fair.
- Arts Week, an annual celebration of the arts, with visiting artists, competitions, pupil productions, workshops and visits to Barcelona.
- Recitals, a termly event where pupils perform their musical pieces.
Summer and Winter Concerts: our choirs sing songs from around the world.
