Parent Involvement

Family Learning Forums

We love our close bonds with families. Your voice in all school matters is valued; your engagement with your child’s learning and growth really makes them fly.

Our headteachers and teachers invite families to regular workshops and talks on a range of practical ways to support your child’s education. Last year, these included:

  • Helping your child to become an independent learner
  • Anxiety in adolescence and how to pre-empt / combat it
  • Your child’s online life
  • Fostering a love of reading in your child
  • The child-centred approach between ages 3-6
  • How to help your child with primary mathematics

Open Classrooms

Once a month we invite families into their child’s classroom to see their work.

Open Forum

Twice a year, families are invited to set the agenda for a round table with the headteachers and school owners. The items for the agenda may address teaching and learning, welfare or school policy. This dialogue and families’ ideas are highly valued.

Open Door Policy

Parents are warmly invited to make an appointment to talk with a headteacher on any aspect of their child’s learning or welfare.

Events Committee

The events committee is a group of parent volunteers who plan a calendar of social events enjoyed by the school community e.g. International Food Fair, Christmas Fair, Spring Book Fair & Summer Garden Party. We are very grateful for their enthusiasm and energy.
